This is one of the best packages that Gulliver offers! Since you decide when you want to go, there’s no need  to wait for the weekend if you do not have much time in Ecuador.  Here at Gulliver, we give you the chance to go any day of the week to the most beautiful cloud forest in Ecuador.

It’s located very close to Quito - only 3 hours by transportation.   In Cocoa you can relax and enjoy the different activities that await you…chocolate processing, waterfalls, a fruit farm and a botanical garden.  You’ll be spending your 3 days with the most wonderful and friendly people – Gabriel and his family. 

Gabriel will take you to all these wonderful places. You will experience the all of the different medicinal plants in the botanical garden, learn how to make chocolate and taste the most rich and flavorful Ecuadorian chocolate available.  If you’re a fruit person rather than a chocolate lover, you will also have fun.   We visit a great fruit farm where Gabriel will be glad to hop on a tree and get you to try the most  exotic and outrageous fruits you can think of.

Saturday & Sunday

The tour will start bright and early at 7:15am to venture out on the most wonderful and thrilling ride ever!  We’ll have the opportunity to sit on the roof of a train and enjoy the different sceneries that the Andes Mountains offers its visitor.  Upon arriving at the station,  Papagayo´s staff-guide will be waiting to take you back to the farm to mount the horses.  After a couple of hours of riding, we will be ready to go back to Papagayo to enjoy the farm´s own exquisitine chocolate cake, sit back and relax.

The second day, you and your group will reach 4800m on one of the highest mountains in Ecuador, the mighty Cotopaxi.  On this day you will be doing a little bit of everything -hiking, biking, and visiting the glaciers at 5000m.  This will be a full day of amazing adventure that will finish at around 7pm in Papagayo with Chocolate cake and some hot tea to warm you up after being in the Cotopaxi.  Here at Papagayo you can relax and enjoy the farm life it provides, including animals, mountains, friendly staff, hot showers and free access to the internet,  all in one cozy place!

Wednesday & Saturday

Visiting the National Park of Cotopaxi is a great experience that Gulliver offers.  The difference with Cotopaxi Bikes and Cotopaxi Bikes and Train is the train that we take at 8:30 in the morning.  We`ll reach 4800mt at the refuge, hike from 4500m to the refuge and than do an exhilerating hour of downhill biking to the lagoon Limpiopungo.

 Tuesday - Thursday

Enjoy 1 full day of horses in the avenues of the volcanoes. Ride along Papagayo Farm and see the spectacular panoramic views of Pasochoa, Corazon, Ilinizas and the Gracious Cotopaxi.

 Tuesday & Thursday

This one day cultural tour will take you to one of the greatest lagoons in South America - the amazing Laguna Quilotoa and the surrounding villages, paying special attention to the culture and rural life of the Andean Indians. The reason we do this tour on Thursdays is becuase we visit the famous local market in Saquisili.   We`ll also visit an indigenous family, where you will have a chance to see how they live and interact with each other.

Saturday is the prime day to experience the markets of Otavalo.  You are guaranteed to have a wonderful time looking through the seemingly endless supply of handcrafted indigneous art and tapestries.   We will take you through all of the best markets that Otavalo has to offer. Additionally, you will visit Cotacachi, famous for its genuine leather goods.  We`ll visit many different local attractions and you will be sure to will have a fantastic time in this small part of Ecuador.

 Tuesday & Friday

Visit one of the highest mountains in Ecuador, the Gracious Cotopaxi.  In this tour, you`ll have the opportunity to hike up to the refuge at an altitude of 4800m.  Additionally, we will take you to visit the caves of ice (glaciers) where you can take amazingly beautiful picutres and enjoy the breathtaking scenery that this Volcano will provide you.

We will pick you up at 7:30 in the morning  and take you to the southern-bound train station called Tambillo, where you will enjoy a wonderful ride and spectacular views of the many mountains in this area of the Volcanos.  Price $40
