Where in the world can you ride through the Avenue of the Volcanoes on the roof of a train? The Riobamba 2 day tour takes you on an exhilarating adventure into the central highlands of Ecuador where you can experience the magnificent scenery from the roof of a train!! You have spectacular views of Ecuadors most famous Volcanoes, Cotopaxi, Illinizas and Chimborazo, before spending the last hour of the trip making the dramatic descent down ´el nariz del diablo´ the devils nose. This 2 day tour begins in Quito where we make the scenic 3 hour drive down the Panamericana to Riobamba. We spend the night in a comfortable hosteria and have free time to explore the city. After an early breakfast we leave for our exciting journey on the train.
*The tour leaves at 7:00am from Coffee & Toffee and passes by our hacienda  where you may purchase breakfast. You can choose between continental, muesli, pancakes and French toast. The price is $3.
*The weather in the area is unpredictable so please bring warm and waterproof clothing.
*It is important that you have current travel insurance. Please inform us of any medical problems you have.
*We put a lot of effort in organizing the tour, therefore cancellations require 24hrs notice. If you wish to cancel we will give a 50% refund. Any shorter notice cancellations will not be refunded.

Schedule of Tour (Note: All times approximate, EXCEPT departure time.)
Day One
- 08:00 AM – Meet at Coffee & Toffee
- 09:30 AM –to have breakfast ($3) and pickup other clients
- 01:30 PM – Arrive Riobamba, check into hostel, lunch, guided city tour
- 15:00 PM – Free time
- 19:00 PM – Dinner in town
Day Two
- 06:30 AM – Breakfast
- 07:00 AM – Departure from train station
- 14:00 PM – Train ride concludes at Alausi station, begin return drive
- 18:00 PM – Arrive to for hot tea/coffee and chocolate cake, drop off clients
