*This amazing climb takes about 11 hours. We will ascent to 6310m’ taking about 7-9
hours while the descent requires only 2hrs back to the refuge at 5000m.
Be sure that you are well prepared for this kind of altitude. We
recommend acclimatizing at least six nights above 3000m’ and have
climbed above 5000m in the same week.
*The
weather in the area is very unpredictable, chimborazo has its own
micro-climate, therefore the tour will leave in any given weather. You must be prepared with warm clothes no matter
what the temperature when departing from Quito or . (Special
snow equipment will be given and is included in your tour)
*The night before the climb there will be a briefing at our
mountain base , giving you information about all the activities during the tour, and
answering all of your questions.
*The
technical equipment will be checked by one of ’s team and the guide that will be
with you in the next two days – don’t worry.
*You
will be provided with lunch and dinner at the refuge.
*We
put a lot of effort in organizing the tour, therefore we require 24hrs notice
if you wish to cancel, if you give us 24hrs notice we will give a 50%
refund. After departing Quito, cancellations
will not be refunded.
