Tropical Fruit Farm
The tastes and smells of the varieties of tropical Ecuadorian fruit
will draw you in and amaze you on this tropical farm, which houses over
32 different types of fruit. Guided by the farm owner, you can sample
as many of these fruits, fresh from their trees, as you can.
Botanical Gardens
The local Botanical Gardens offer a chance to learn a little about the
medicinal secrets of the local indigenous populations. This guided tour
provides you with fascinating information on the local plants and an
explanation of their medicinal properties. At the end, you will be
given the chance to try your own hand at creating traditional remedies,
using the plants about which you have learned.
Waterfalls
We give guided hikes into the area’s beautiful cloud forest which takes
you close to the animals of the area, as well as provides information
on the medicinal uses of the plants. These hikes end with a visit to
one of the area’s amazing waterfalls, where you can swim in the nearby
rivers.
Tubing
Experience the exhilarating rush of this great sport. Taking a huge
tire and rafting down the beautiful white waters of the Rio Blanco and
the Rio Caoni, that flow through the amazing cloud forest, is an
action-packed and fun day out!
Lemonade and Chocolate-making
See how the locals make these delicious treats, and then have a go at
making them yourself. Followed by the best bit: sampling the fruits of
your labor!
